My first time trying street tacos and they were decent! The lengua was by far the best meat, followed by chorizo. Unfortunately the chicken was very dry and the corn tortillas weren't anything special, but I tried the al pastor burrito and it was probably the best thing on the menu. There was a long line when we arrived, so we waited for at least 30 minutes or more, but service was quick once we got to the front. The station at the end allowed us to grab as many toppings and sides as we wanted, including salsa, avocado cream, onion, cilantro, lime, jalapenos, radish and cucumbers. There were seats at the end to eat there as well if you didn't want to take it to go.

Brothers Cousins gets a third 5-star review from me. I recently ventured to East LA, specifically to try some of the more famous and renowned burrito spots. Some were quite good. Fantastic, even. But none to the level of Brothers Cousins. I still stand by this statement: Brothers Cousins make the best burritos in existence. Still waiting to be proven otherwise. Also, these people rock. Time after time, it's nothing but friendly, up-beat, and eager-to-please service. What crazy person would give Brothers Cousins anything but 5 stars?

One of the best taco trucks in LA! I'm so glad I talked friends into going to try this. It was so good I've brought other people with me since and have tried to go back whenever I'm passing through Sawtelle. The line moves quickly so don't be discouraged. It's cash only so come prepared. The al pastor is a must have here but everything I've ordered thus far has been excellent!

Casual Taco stand on Sawtelle near UCLA. Tacos go for $2 each and are good quality. They cut their al pastor off the stand fresh and provide grilled veggies and potatoes cooked in the beef stock. They also serve burritos, quesadillas, etc. I would recommend this spot if you're craving street tacos in West LA! Be prepared for a line as most nights the wait is 15-20 minutes. There is plenty of parking in the lot adjacent to the stand. They have a few chairs to sit on, but you may need to eat on your car.

A great Mexican street food spot in the Westside! I got the mix cheese burrito with al pastor and asada and it was so big and filling! I love that they have their own Al pastor carving, so the meat seemed freshly prepared. It was also cool to see the pineapples on top of the Al pastor and the juices sliding down onto the meat. The burrito tasted great and was it really cheap too! I loved the self serve grilled onions as well as the variety of condiments available. I looked up this place before I went and saw they gave free potatoes with each meal, but when I went there was no potatoes, so I wish they would keep that consistent each night. I also got the horchata which was good for the price. It's a bit of a long line and long wait though, even for a week night. But it's definitely a good LA cheap street food vibe!

Brothers Cousin Taco is an impressive operation, to say the least. Yes, the line is long, but there's a reason for that--it's the only place in LA where you'll find meat seasoned with the kind of precision and care that's become a rarity in this city. The efficiency of their assembly line service is something to be admired. Each person on the line knows their role, and they execute it with consistency that rivals some of the best-run kitchens I've seen. This place doesn't just serve tacos; it operates like a well-oiled machine, ensuring every taco/burrito comes out is just as good as the last. The flavor profile of their meat is a standout--perfectly balanced, with just the right amount of spice. It's clear that they've mastered their craft. I'll definitely be back.

I heard about the hype to check out Brothers Cousins Tacos. A burrito for $9? Count me in! While driving there, it was easy to locate them by just noticing the long line of people. At first I thought it was a food truck, but they were under a canopy. I ordered a regular burrito with an option of rice and cheese. First they add the meat, cheese, and rice. My wife and I were confused when they handed to us. We were told to add any toppings and sauce (similar to a buffet or salad bar). No wonder the line moved pretty slow. After you made your choice you hand it back to them to fold the burrito. At the end, you can order drinks (ex. Horchata). The new experience was nice. Was it worth the wait in line? Not really. Tip: While in line, make sure to put the sauces on the side by placing them in the small containers provided instead of inside the burrito. I learned by mistake by adding the mild sauce in the burrito and there wasn't much flavor. I wish I packed up spicy sauces on the side just in case. When eating a burrito, I rather add sauce while taking every bite. Also when ordering tacos or al pastor, they don't add the sauce so you must prepare them in containers to go. Also, I don't like when the meat was chopped minced. I rather have my meat cut thick inside the burrito to taste the tenderness. Well lesson learned. On the bright side, less pricey for a large burrito (much larger than most super burrito), the horchata was delicious and staff done a wonderful job!
